Irrigation Leak Detection

Underground irrigation lines can leak for months before anyone notices. We trace leaks in mains, zones, valves and heads for golf courses, estates, resorts and homes, with minimal digging.

Signs of an irrigation leak

Quick check: with the system off, watch the irrigation meter or main meter. If it keeps turning, water is escaping underground.

Get it checked
  • Soggy patches or standing water between watering cycles
  • Strips of unusually green grass over buried lines
  • Dry zones while the rest of the system runs normally
  • Low pressure or weak spray from sprinkler heads
  • Water bubbling up around heads or valve boxes
  • Water bills climbing with no change in schedule
  • Sinkholes, washouts or soft ground on fairways and lawns

How we find irrigation leaks

We locate the leak on the buried line first, so repairs mean one small hole, not a trench across your turf.

Ground microphones

Sensitive ground mics pick up the sound of water escaping from buried mains and laterals.

Pressure gauges and valves

Zone pressure testing

Each zone and valve is isolated and tested, so we know exactly which run is losing water.

Thermal imaging

Temperature differences in the ground reveal wet areas and the path of hidden lines.
